Release Monarch Butterflies at your special event! A Monarch butterfly release is a stunning option – when Monarch butterflies are released they tend to soar and glide gracefully through the air.
Use the order field to place your custom order. Determine how you would like to release your butterflies.
For a more personal experience, an Individual Release is ideal. Butterflies are placed in personalized, keepsake envelopes and distributed to designated guests. The envelopes are opened at the same time and the butterflies emerge and take flight, or sometimes land on the guests, much to their delight! The butterflies are shipped in the envelopes and are ready for release. We are happy to personalize and customize your envelopes with a sentiment of your choice. Use the order field for your personalization – up to four lines (approximately 25-30 words).
A Mass Release offers a dramatic display as the butterflies are released from a single source and take flight at the same time in a rush of color and beauty.
The butterflies are packaged in the release box and are ready to release. Select from gold or silver satin, or glossy white for your box and indicate the color ribbon or flower you would like for ornamentation.
Care and release instructions are included.
Placing your order as soon as possible ensures that we will have butterflies reserved for your special event.
*We reserve the right to substitute butterflies of equal value if your order is placed fewer than four weeks in advance.
Please note that weather impacts the success of a butterfly release and temperatures must be forecasted for a minimum of 65 degrees.
Monarchs are available May through September and can only be shipped East of the Continental Divide.

Specialized Packaging: Your live specimens are shipped in climate-controlled (when needed), packaging designed specifically for insects. We use insulated packaging to protect against temperature extremes.
Timing Matters: We ship Monday-Wednesday (and sometimes Thursday and Friday) to ensure your specimens arrive within 1-2 business days. This timing is crucial for their health and development.
Arrival Instructions: Upon arrival, simply open the packaging and transfer your specimens to the proper habitat.
